1. Introduction
This policy outlines the obligations of the London School of Business & Education Ltd. (LSBE), a company registered in England & Wales (Company Number: 12838732), regarding staff development.
LSBE acknowledges its responsibility to provide opportunities for staff to develop their skills and abilities, enabling optimal performance in their roles and supporting career growth within the organization. The pedagogical director plays a key role in facilitating the professional development of all staff.
2. Staff Development
2.1 Performance Appraisal and Needs Assessment

The Dean identifies training and development needs through performance appraisals, considering both departmental and individual employee requirements.
2.2 Role of the Pedagogical Director
The pedagogical director evaluates training needs and develops relevant programs by:

Designing and delivering training courses.

Providing training materials and advising on methods to meet training objectives.
2.3 Mandatory Training

All regular teaching staff are required to complete the online faculty training in Moodle before undertaking any teaching responsibilities.
3. Process
3.1 Identifying Training Needs

The Dean may recommend training opportunities to the Pedagogical Director for departmental or individual benefit.

Department heads are encouraged to establish specific staff development programs tailored to their teams' needs.
3.2 Training Program Implementation

The pedagogical director continuously evaluates training needs and establishes programs to address them.

Scheduled training sessions are communicated to employees via email.
3.3 Training Attendance

Employees may attend training sessions:

As paid working time for training related to organisational objectives.

At the discretion of the pedagogical director for personal development objectives.

If paid time is not authorised, employees are informed before the start of the training.
